Main ingredient: Poly-L-lacticacid / PLLA

Sculptra is also known as "mesotherapy" and is injected in the dermis. Its main component is Poly-L-lacticacid (PLLA). This ingredient has good biocompatibility and can be broken down and absorbed in the human body without remaining in the body.

Since 1950, PLLA has been used as a material for orthopedic, dental and suture materials ex: lamb's intestine is also made of a similar composition and has been used in the medical field for more than 30 years. Later, a dermatologist discovered that the sutures were absorbed into the skin and that the skin in the area through which the sutures passed had a collagen regeneration process, which coincided with the loss of collagen from aging, and was therefore gradually used in cosmetic medicine.
